Episode 2 of my Paid Botpress Beginner's course! I was planning on selling this course, but I decided to release it for free instead!

Summary of Episode 2:

Send Message Cards:
How the bot 'speaks'.
If you want your bot to say something, you need to use these cards.

Execute code card:
What we use to code in Botpress.
We use JavaScript.

Installed libraries that you can use:

Lodash
Axios
Luxon

Table Cards:

Find Records - Find a record based on a criteria
Get Records - Get a specific record using the ID
Delete Records - Delete a record
Insert Records - Insert a record
Update Records - Update a field on a record

Conversation Started Card:

A card that is used to make the bot speak first in the conversation (except in the emulator).

Flow Logic:
How you transition from nodes/workflows.

Expression - 'Conditional Transition' as I like to call it

Intent - An expression with an NLU, transitioning if the users message matches the intent in the intent library

Capture Cards:

Single Choice - Users can only choose an option from the list you provide
Raw Input - User's can give their own input AND/OR you can give them a list to choose from

AI Cards:

AI Task - Gives an AI a task to complete, like answering different questions. User determines input every time.
AI Generated Text - Only generates text from input that it was given by the builder, user cannot give input
AI Transition - AI decides where to transition the user (like an intent)

Agents:

Knowledge Agent - Used when you have a knowledge base that the user will indirectly interact with.
Summary bot - Summarizes the conversation (useful for error reports)
Personality bot - If you want to give your bot a humouristic twist
Translator Agent - Translates every message that the bot sends into a chosen language

Code validator:

Used to validate the input the user gave adheres to a certain criteria.
