Wreck Diving the Um El Faroud – Massive Tanker Wreck in Malta | Mediterranean Sea 🤿⚓

Join us as we explore and penetrate the Um El Faroud, one of Malta's most famous wreck dives, with Maltaqua! 🌊 This 115-meter-long Libyan oil tanker, built in 1969 in England, was tragically damaged by a gas explosion during maintenance in 1995, which claimed the lives of nine shipyard workers.

Following this devastating accident, the ship was scuttled off the coast of Malta to serve as an artificial reef. In 2005, a severe storm split the wreck into two halves, making this dive even more fascinating as we explored its towering structure and thriving marine life at a max depth of 29 meters.
