-- FR -- Rencontré en off du festival Motocultor l'été dernier (2025), voici le jeune et talentueux duo français FLIGHT CNCLLD. Il se compose de Florent Marcadet (batteur live pour CARPENTER BRUT, HACRIDE, STEP IN FLUID, et ancien membre de KLONE) et de Mars Carvalho, chanteur et multi-instrumentiste. Avec ce dernier, nous avons donc fait connaissance afin de mieux comprendre d'où viennent leur subtil mélange d'influences musicales contemporaines que l'on pourrait définir comme une fusion post metal, pop, hip hop et post rock. Sur leur 1er album Safety Wire, leur musique mélange avec audace un metal alternatif et de l'emo rock, alternant entre chants clairs et saturés. On y retrouve des passages djent et de rock/metal progressif, agrémentés d'éléments de hip-hop et de musique électro. A noter que ce premier LP contient une seconde version de leurs chansons réarrangées façon ambient/lounge mélancolique du plus bel effet. -- ENG -- Having met them at the Motocultor festival last summer (2025), we present this talented French duo, FLIGHT CNCLLD, composed of Florent Marcadet (live drummer for CARPENTER BRUT, HACRIDE, STEP IN FLUID, and former member of KLONE), and Mars Carvalho, singer and multi-instrumentalist. We got to know him better to understand the origins of their subtle blend of contemporary musical influences, which could be defined as a fusion of post-metal, pop, hip hop, and post-rock. On their debut album, Safety Wire, their music boldly mixes alternative metal and emo rock, alternating between clean and distorted vocals. Influences of djent and progressive metal are also present, enhanced with elements of hip hop and electronic music. It's worth noting that their album includes a second version of their songs rearranged in a beautifully melancholic ambient/lounge style.
