How to change filter capacitors Peavey classic 30 combo guitar tube amp

Another Peavey Classic 30 amp with leaky power supply capacitors. It is quite the job to replace these caps due to the 3 piece circuit board, limited access for component maintenance. If you have to change a defective cap, make sure to change them all. Save a revisit. It is a time consuming job. Best thing to do is take your time, double check your work. I recommend the F&T 500 volt caps for this task. Don't cheap out. After completion, these are actually pretty good sounding amps. Many bands use them for recording. Their only downfall is the PCB's cannot stand up to the road wear. Released in the early 1990's, its almost 30 years old! A great amp to give a second chance in life.
