Forclaz 60+10 MT Air

Bought this rucksack after hours of searching checking the specifications, comparing prices and waiting for this to come back in stock.
Initial impressions were excellent. The bag is comfortable and is well thought out. However, there is a problem.

On fist use this rucksack developed a squeaking sound. At first I thought it could be me a I am getting to a late middle age lol. Unfortunately not, it s defiantly the bag.

Just to confirm I have only taken this bag out about four times and at no point has the load exceeded 10 kilos.
After taking items out it still squeaks so this is nothing to do with the contents.

When first putting on the backpack it does not make any noise. After an hour or so it starts making that noise that is amplified due to being on my back. It 5hen gets worse and louder the further I walk. Imagine an old creaking rocking chair right up to your ear and that gives a good idea of what this is like to carry. It was driving me mad. It sounds like the thing is going to fall apart but I know it is not.

Take the pack off and Leave it for a bit then the sound goes away when I set off but then after a very short time it comes back like squeaking shoes on a hard polished floor.

I believe the reason for the annoying squeaking noise is that the materials stretch while in use and so the frame can then move around. Of course I could be wrong.

My instinct says that this is not just a one off so if you too have had this problem the please add a comment.

I placed a note in the bag when returning asking for a refund and not a replacement as I do not have any confidence that another bag will be any different.

As a reputable company I am sure that Decathlon will resolve this satisfactorily. This is in no way a grumble at Decathlon it is a grumble against this particular product.
