Volkswagen Touareg 2025 review: 210TDI Elegance | A worthy rival to BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE?

The 2025 Volkswagen Touareg large SUV has just been given a midlife facelift to keep it fresh in the highly competitive premium segment, which is headlined by a pair of other Germans, the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE. In fact, particular emphasis has been given to improving the VW's value proposition, with price cuts up to $11,000 coming alongside the inclusion of more standard equipment in a rarity these days.

Specific upgrades include redesigned LED lighting – including Matrix LED headlights – and restyled bumpers. Inside, wireless Apple CarPlay support is a headline inclusion, with the smartphone mirroring technology shown via a 15.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system.
