SCRS Quick Tip: EV Isolation

In this video on Electric Vehicle (EV) Isolation, Mike Anderson is joined by Jeff Poole, EV Subject Matter Expert for I-CAR. Mike and jeff talk through what it means when OEMs use a floating high voltage system in the construction of EV and Hybrid vehicles. Understanding how the vehicle isolates, insulates and shields against exposure to high voltage – unless a system has been compromised. Better understanding of isolation, and a culture of adherence to OEM repair procedures on how to properly address EVs will help technician safety as they work with these vehicles.
