Water Purification Working Model,

Description:

This model shows a step by step water purification process using simple natural materials. The structure is made like staircase levels using cardboard. On each step, a cup is placed and labeled as Stone, Charcoal, Sand, and Cotton. Dirty water is poured into the first cup at the top. The water flows slowly from one cup to the next through small pipes or holes. At every stage, the water becomes cleaner. Finally, clear water is collected in a glass at the bottom, showing purified water.

Flow of Water:
Dirty water → Stones → Charcoal → Sand → Cotton → Purified water

Reasoning and Working of Each Layer:

Stones (First Stage):
Stones act as the first filter. They stop big dirt particles like leaves, soil, mud, and waste materials. Only water and small particles move ahead. This prevents blockage in the lower layers and makes filtration easier.

Charcoal (Second Stage):
Charcoal absorbs bad smell, color, and harmful impurities present in water. It works like a purifier by trapping chemicals and germs. This stage improves the quality and smell of the water.

Sand (Third Stage):
Sand filters very tiny dirt particles that are not visible easily. It removes fine dust, soil particles, and small impurities, making the water clearer.

Cotton (Final Stage):
Cotton works as the final cleaning layer. It removes the smallest particles and makes the water look clean and transparent. It gives the final purified water output.

Conclusion:

This model clearly explains how water can be purified naturally using simple materials. Each layer has a specific role in cleaning water. The stones remove big dirt, charcoal absorbs harmful substances, sand filters fine particles, and cotton gives final clarity.
