40% of Autistic adults and 8% of children have had depression, but why?

Most may brush off this statistic as a result of being Autistic, but they neglect to recognise the very real OUTSIDE challenges facing Autistic people…

Bullying, mate crime, low employment, poor job satisfaction, SA, isolation/loneliness, thin-slice judgements, discrimination etc etc.

This isnt recognising the relative ineffectiveness of modern psychological interventions on depressed Autistic people.

Neglecting to tackle these issues puts depressed autistic people at ungodly higher SUI and SH rate, seen even in children.

Let’s tackle this complex issue of Autism and depression.
