BAIC Motor's new car Beijing Cube has been officially launched. The new car is offered in 4 configurations ranging from 99,900 to 131,900 yuan. As a minor annual refresh, the appearance and interior of the new car have not been significantly changed, the Star Edition and Magic Mirror Edition have been largely deleted, and the functional configuration of the existing models has been adjusted.
In terms of power system, the new car continues to be equipped with a 1.5T engine mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission with a maximum power of 138KW.
Beijing Rubik's Cube offers 4 configuration models: silver version, gold version, platinum version, diamond version.
In addition, the price of the new car remains unchanged, while the functional configuration has also been adjusted (essentially upgraded). The specific upgrades are as follows.
Silver Edition: Added rear seat folding center armrest/cup holder.
Gold version: Added 360 panoramic views, 540 transparent chassis, 14.6-inch central control screen, car visibility and conversation, one-click raising and lowering of all vehicle windows, and Harmony OS in-car intelligent operating system.
Platinum version: adds 540 clear chassis, power passenger seat adjustment, front seat heating/ventilation; Clears 10-color ambient lighting.
Diamond version: 540 transparent chassis and heated steering wheel added.
In terms of appearance design, the front of the new car continues to use the frameless dot matrix front grille, while the split headlights are also retained. Additionally, a large area consisting of blacked-out decorative pieces has been added to the middle and cluster of the front spoiler, and a trapezoidal blacked-out air intake has been left on the front lip.
The body size of the new car is: 4620x1886x1680 mm, the wheelbase is 2735 mm and it is positioned as a compact SUV.
In addition, the new car also offers 18-inch (225/60 R18) and 19-inch (225/55 R19) wheels.
In addition, the gold, platinum and diamond versions also provide optional electronic exterior mirrors (7-inch electronic rearview mirror high-definition displays are located above the car's left and right front door panels).
At the rear of the car, the new car continues to use a similar full-type taillight set (blacked-out decorative inserts are added between the left and right independent taillights) and a spoiler + high-mounted brake lights are added above the rear window. In addition, the lower part of the rear housing is equipped with a large area of darkened decorative parts + diffuser device.
In terms of interior design, the new car's center console area is equipped with a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument and a 14.6-inch floating central control screen (used in the silver version).
At the same time, the new car also retains the electronic gear shifting mechanism, and the high-end diamond version is available in the 60-inch AR-HUD head-up display system, front row mobile phone wireless charging panel, built-in driving recorder.
In addition, the new car is also equipped with the Harmony OS in-car smart operating system (the silver version uses the native Android system), and the platinum and diamond versions also provide the B Pilot 3.0 powered driving operating system.
In terms of seat functionality, the new car provides electric adjustment, heating and ventilation of the front seats, main driver's seat memory and other functions. (Seat configuration of each sectional model is slightly different)
As for the power unit, the new car reaches a maximum power of 138KW (188Ps), a maximum torque of 305N.m, and reaches 0 to 100 in 7.84 seconds. It is equipped with a 1.5T engine mated to a 7-speed wet dual clutch transmission. It also has a maximum speed of 200 km/h and comprehensive fuel consumption under WLTC conditions is 7.35 L.
