Eli and the gang return in Slugterra: Ascension!

The Shane Gang attempts a stealthy nighttime ambush to rescue Uni from the clutches of their enemies. When an over-excited slug gives their position away they’re forced to find an unusual escape path, and discover there’s more to the training than they thought.

Stuck in a deserted cavern, cut off from Kord, Pronto and the rest of their arsenal by a rockslide, Eli and Trixie find themselves outmatched and unable to hold off villains Locke and Lode and their deadly gattler blaster and ghouls. With only a few slugs at hand, Eli and Trixie will have to outwit and outrun the twins in a race to meet the other Shane Gang members and the rest of their slugs at the cavern entrance on the other side.

But everything changes when the team meet UNI while hiding out in some old transport tunnels. Though they mistake him for a flopper at first, they quickly discover this isn’t any ordinary flopper – it’s the legendary universal slug! It can “borrow” the powers of any slug you fire it near, then when fired again, it’ll have that slugs strongest moves. It seems like the ultimate weapon! Until they discover that Uni doesn’t just borrow the power for a short time, he drains that slug of its slug energy, sending it back to a neo-protoform state – basically a slug baby bumbling adorably through life, unaware of the powers locked inside.

Now Eli and Trixie must protect and retrain their neo-protoform slugs, while keeping the highly sought-after Uni slug away from Locke and Lode – AND deal with the surprise return of a villain they long thought dead, who will stop at nothing to get his hands on Uni…
