Shout out to ‪@dre_withthek1655‬ for bringing in his awesome Kia Stinger build in for a Liquid Wrap and for an amazing personalized gift. Seriously can't thank you enough. I hope you are enjoying the new color!

As always we start out with a wash. Water and dish soap is all you need. This just ensures no dirt, grease, wax, or residue is on the surface of the car. We like to let the car sit for 24hrs after washing to make sure it's dry.

This stinger looks great in the factory grey. I couldn't stop staring at it. Dre has already done a lot to customize this thing so check out his channel for a full run down. Masking was more time consuming than I anticipated. Every car is different and this particular car had plenty of tight rubber seals that needed to be held back with some trim tape so our paint wouldn't bridge. There were also tons of little accents and air vents accessorizing the car. Some solvent resistant paper and tape helped take care of any areas we did not want our paint on. After it is all masked up I gave it a nice wipe down with water and denatured alcohol to remove any smudges or fingerprints.

We are going with a black base on this car. The color comes in a white powder and shows most vibrant over black. In order for the coating to be thick enough, we make sure to put enough product down on the car. In this case we did about 3 gallons of black base coat using the compressor, HVLP, and 1.7mm tip.

This color is called Ceres Megashift and we are spicing it up with a little Violet Booster to tone down the orange and pull out more pink. I am definitely biased because I have this exact combo on my personal car but this is one of my favorite colors. I start by mixing 25 grams of Ceres Megashift pearl into a gallon of un-tinted base coat then add 4 oz of violet booster. In total I will use about 2 gallons of color for this car before topping it off in clear gloss.

The first 2 coats of gloss go on medium/wet and are left to dry over night. I like to sand down the gloss and re-clear for a smoother result. After 24 hours I grab some 800 grit sandpaper, a foam pad, and my DA sander and get to work. I use water and dish soap as a lubricant to better control how much I sand and it also helps clean up the dust. After I am satisfied with the surface, I wipe it all down with water and denatured alcohol being careful to remove all soap from the car. Then It gets one last wet coat of gloss and we call it a day.

The car turned out beautiful and Dre was there to enjoy the whole process. He even let us know he would be back once he received his custom hood from California. He found a guy on Instagram by the name @themagicman_go who crated one of a kind metal and carbon fiber art. I knew it would look good but I was blown away when I saw it in person. It was almost an exact color match and the Dragon Ball Z design looked amazing. Little did I know Dre had one more surprise for me when he pulled out a custom carbon fiber backpack with my logo on it crated by the same guy out in California. It was a pleasure having you visit man and I'm so glad we could help turn your dream into reality.
