#notsponsored Still have not found a good haleem place so would love to hear your recommendation: All your other suggestions were so spot on ! Of course taste is subjective and this reel is just my opinion :) I usually take feedback from all the people who are with me during the shoot before putting across any review here . Lot of times I may not like something but if the others like it we go ahead and give the restaurant a good review. We try to keep things positive and will always mark the good dishes clearly :) if we haven’t mentioned a dish it mostly means we either dint taste it or dint like it 😅

So here is our rating on our recent #triplicane food tour 🤍
1. Basha halwa - Iconic place and #ntcfav - 5/5 - Must try DUM KA ROT - There are lot of Basha halwa in Triplicane . Go to the one in Jambazar - 09 Fakir Sahib street , Ellis Puram. They have no branch. This is the only one 100 year store.

2. Bai Biryani - for me this place did not match the hype so am giving it 3.5/5 . However the food was delicious . I am harsh when it comes to biryani reviews because there are so many good choices 😅

3. Kasi Vinayaga Mess for meals - one of the best recommendations - 5/5

4. Ratna Cafe - again iconic place for their idli soaked in sambar . 5/5 hehe

5. Bombay Lassi - what is this place. We absolutely loved the milk sweet and jelebis and samosa . Everything spot on and of coursethe lassi yum 😋 another 5/5 :)

6. I am not sure if there is a name to this place but it was raining and we rushed in and were so excited to cover this little window by the big mosque 🕌. The window opens around 5:30pm, sometimes 6pm so go around 6. For me this place dint match up to the hype. The egg sweet and the cutlets were spot on but I had gone for the haleem which had so little meat :/ or maybe it was just one of those days when the chef put less meat 😅 i don’t know but I am just giving the benefit of doubt here 😅

We checked a couple more places but couldn’t get a proper haleem place. Someone suggested haleem wala which was one of the best haleem from what we tasted that day. However I feel there will be better haleem for sure so please do comment below 🤍 #chennaifoodguide
