Can the Olympus M.Zuiko 12-100mm do Macro(ish) Photography?

Does the OM-1 paired with the 12-100mm f/4 Pro lens with Sync-IS mean you can do macro like shooting?
Well, a trip to a local wood for a bit of a mushroom hunt was the perfect test and we were absolutely blown away with what we found!
