Ed Broyhill and Clint Eastwood Team Up: Mission Ranch Collection

Описание к видео Ed Broyhill and Clint Eastwood Team Up: Mission Ranch Collection

In the early 90's Clint Eastwood teamed up with his pal, Ed Broyhill, and remodeled a resort called The Mission Ranch in Carmel, California. Broyhill designed, produced, and promoted a furniture collection with Eastwood to commemorate the heritage of the bed and breakfast called the Mission Ranch Collection. It was featured nationally on "Good Morning America" and The Oprah Show, to name but just a few news and TV network features. The National Furniture Association awarded the Collection and Architectural Digest Magazine featured it on its Cover Edition.

The Mission Ranch is an historical property adjoining the Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo (Carmel Mission). It was the headquarters of the original Alta California Missions headed by Father Junípero Serra from 1770 until his death in 1784. The Parrish is open to the public today. The Ranch was the working farm of the Mission.

Clint Eastwood has enjoyed a close affinity with the property going back to his days in the US Army. He was a swim instructor at the swimming pool there that is now long gone. His interest in restoring the property reflects his lifelong love and friendship with Carmel.

Ed Broyhill, of the Broyhill Furniture family in North Carolina, was a long time friend of Eastwood dating back in the 1980s as one of his favorite golf partners. This broadcast reflects the close admiration they share for each other.
