localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost

To block: remove the # at the start of each line.

To unblock: put the # back in front of each line.

Run this in Command Prompt (as administrator):

ipconfig /flushdns


#127.0.0.1 youtube.com
#127.0.0.1 www.youtube.com

#127.0.0.1 linkedin.com
#127.0.0.1 www.linkedin.com
