World of Warcraft is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) created by Blizzard Entertainment and released on 2004. It is based on the Warcraft Universe, and it is the number four release of its kind. Its world is known as Azeroth, and its lore continues “Warcraft III”.
So far, Blizzard had released nine expansions of World of Warcraft. The latest one is “Shadowlands”. Shadowlands is the afterlife in the Warcraft universe. It is also known as "The Realm of the Dead", and "The Realm of the Shadows". When you died in Warcraft, your soul will go to the Shadowlands.
Sylvanas Windrunner: One of the main characters behind the Shadowlands expansion is Sylvanas Windrunner. Sylvanas travels to Icecrown and fights the Lich King Bolvar and his army. She wins the battle, takes the "Helm of Domination" from Bolvar and breaks it in half letting him know that her purpose is to free everyone. Since this helm was the veil between Azeroth and the Shadowlands, now the door between the living and the dead is open. In the past, Bolvar was the only one able to bring souls from the Shadowlands to Azeroth as undead. Now, the veil is open. Sylvanas's actions threaten the cosmic balance between life and death.
Your mission: After obtaining the power to cross your body and soul to the other dimension, you have to investigate, solve the cosmos, and help your faction free the legends of Azeroth that has been wrongly imprisoned in the Realm of the Dead.
Regions and Covenants: Shadowlands has five main regions (Bastion, Ardenweald, Revendreth, Maldraxxus, and the Maw) and an entering hub named Oribos. Also, it has four covenants (Kyrian (Bastion), Night Fae (Ardenweald), Venthyrs (Revendreth) and Necrolords (Maldraxxus).
Paladin: Paladins are known as Holy Warriors. They are mostly a Melee class. "Paragon of Justice" is the Call of the Paladin. They can follow roles of Tank (Protection Paladin), Damage Dealer (Retribution Paladin), or Healer (Holy Paladin).
Protection Paladin: A Protection Paladin is a versatile Tank spec that uses Holy Magic, a Shield and one-handed weapons such as Swords, Maces and Axes. They own great abilities to get out of low health situations, and wear the strongest armor in the game (Plate). Its resources are Holy Power, Mana, and Health. They possess co-op abilities such as Blessings and Auras. As a Protection Paladin you can choose one of the following races:
Alliance: Human, Dwarf, and Draenei
Horde: Tauren, and Blood Elf
Allied: Lightforged Draenei, Dark Iron Dwarf, and Zandalari Troll
