Kedarkantha trail is of great variation starting through the dense forest, to moving towards green grasslands (mostly covers with snow) with ending up to an incredible summit.
The treks start from a small village Sankri, a village with humble residents (you can’t find a single ATM there, so be with cash in hand). You can get all trekking equipment and a guide there who will make your trip more memorable ( In our case, he was super cool).
Starting in the early morning from Sankri, you are well capable to reach the base camp, sometimes trekkers with large groups took a day more and stay a night at Juda ka Talab, where you can find a Maggi point as well but we directly ended up to the base camp. The night there you will find is full of stars and too much cold, So well prepare for that as well, those who are on for stars photography, this is the best spot.
So staying the night at base camp, you have to wake up early in the morning to reach out, to the great view of the summit, you will be there in few hours and can reach back to the base camp at around 1:00 PM.
Some people used to stay another night at base camp or on Juda Ka Talab but we were in rush and reached the Sankri on the same day. There is more than one route to reach back to Sankri, we took the different one that was more steep and short. I will advise you to explore more, maybe you can find another one.
After reaching Sankri the trek is over and you can take a bus to Dehradun from there on the next morning. For more information, you can reach out to me or my friends or can do a web search.
