No Plans, No Build!! The Homeowner Got Busted & The City Pulls Up!!

This is it. The finale to the kit house build.
 Not at all what we were planning for since this job was going to get us about $8000.
This was a post to get us a new vehicle pay for some bills … instead the homeowner based this build around nothing but a bunch of wishy washy plans and some delusion that he can just build a house on land that he owns without any permits.

I had no idea that the homeowner in the city had been going back and forth in the courts for over two years.
On the last day, I was showing court papers from deed companies, and title companies that had nothing to do with the city that was asking for permits on septic tanks, water, lines and power. To top it off that area of land specific use doesn’t allow for water septic tank or power.
Furthermore, that very specific area of land is in a wash. Meaning, the soils density and structure is so unstable that samples are needed. The highest form of compacting, and the best footings would be needed to secure a residence on that piece of land. And there wasn’t any.
I was under the impression that everything was on the up and up, plans were submitted and this was gonna be a normal build.
The questioning arose when everything was rushed along so fast all of these very detrimental parts of the build we’re completely looked past, such as the footings for the foundation.

Finally, when 2 x 6 floor joists were spanning a distance greater than 30 foot I knew there were some engineering issues regarding these floorplans.

All the city wanted was some plans submitted and nothing was submitted so they came and shut the job down.
Unfortunately, I was just there to earn my wages. It has nothing to do with me, as much as it is what it is.

 as for Union construction work I am number 400 and something on the outta work list. It’s the biggest number I’ve ever had on this waiting list to get a job.

 now that I’m getting caught up on uploads, I can start posting on the channel again bringing to light all the issues surrounding the estate concerning the current situation with work, etc. etc. and moving forward to getting a law firm for some type of settlement.
