All objects around us have three dimensions. The length, breadth, and height. This is well known and easy to comprehend. Now, everything that we see can destruct with time. An ice cube melts before your eyes, and you can see it disappear as it melts. Therefore, time becomes the fourth dimension.

Now, just like you need a vessel to hold water, the object with its three dimensions, and time, the fourth dimension has to exist in an environment, like the vessel holding the water. So, the fifth dimension becomes space. In theory, specifically the string theory of quantum physics, there can be as many as 10 dimensions.

As consciousness is thought to be all-pervading, there is a possibility that beings exist at all levels. The Abrahamic religions call them angels.
