The Republic of Indonesia is one of the largest countries in the world which is located in Southeast Asia.

The area of ​​the Republic of Indonesia which reaches 1.9 million km2 stretches from 95⁰ East Longitude to 141⁰ East Longitude, so it is necessary to divide time into 3 Time Zones.

Based on Presidential Decree (Kepres) No. 41 of 1987, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) is divided into 3 (three) time zones namely West Indonesia Time (WIB), Central Indonesia Time (WITA) and East Indonesia Time (WIT).

West Indonesia Time (WIB)

West Indonesia Time or abbreviated as WIB stretches along the line 105⁰ East Longitude which covers the islands of Java, Madura Island, Sumatra Island, the western and central parts of Kalimantan Island.

West Indonesia Time (WIB) is the same as the international time division of UTC +7 or GMT +7.
