Like father, like son. With standing ovations from the spectators, the Champion Stallion 2008, Cantoblanco by Canto, was just as enthusiastically received as his sire four years earlier when he became the Champion Stallion. His sire Canturo was a star jumper with his Brazilian rider, Bernardo Alves, participating in the Olympic Games in Athen, winning the Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows in Canada, the European Price in Aachen, the Grand Prix of Madrid (ESP), etc. Canto's debut in breeding was highly successful. Three of his sons were licensed right away. Canto took his stallion performance test in Adelheitsdorf where he became the Reserve Champion in jumping. At present he is being prepared for shows by Janne Friederike Meyer. Cantoblanco's dam line (Holstein line 4965) is currently one of the strongest performance lines in breeding. His dam Casablanca is a full sister of the stallions Clinton I and II and also of Levisto Z's dam, Hirtin, who competes in international show jumping under the name of Chia Bay. Clinton I has also been triumphant, among many competitions winning the Swedish Derby twice, took fourth place in the Grand Prix of Aachen and have also won Nation Cups. Five direct offsprings out of the Calypso II daughter Waage have won advance (S) level show jumping classes. This line is also known for other show jumpers such as Padua/Ralf Schneider, Sanora La Silla/Jan Tops and Poor Boy/Beat Mandli.

2010 update: This stallion has matured nicely, producing a consistently careful, scopey and powerful jump. He has exceptionally quick reflexes and is blood type and atheletic.
