'To live with the world, not merely on it' by Alinta Krauth. This is the short version of a longer video art piece created out of publicly available Exxon documents from the late 1970s and early 1980s, where Exxon admits to privately studying the effects of 'global warming'. Despite their findings that coal usage does potentially effect climate change, they continued business as normal and did not publicly release these documents. This artwork uses these documents as a canvas to create something potentially beautiful from something quite sinister. The artist, Alinta Krauth, initially created four separate interactive artworks, and used screen-captures of these to create this video piece.
The longer version of this video was shown in conjunction with the Paris Climate Conference and 350.org in Brisbane, Australia.
