In this video I used the Needle Beetle available at kriskrafter.com https://www.kriskrafter.com/product-p... to help select needles.

I also used a few magic markers, two in the colors of my yarn, and one washable marker for marking the machine. https://amzn.to/395DjnS

The yarn I used was a #3 weight DK yarn. This yarn works very well for Fair Isle on a mid-gauge knitting machine such as the LK 150. https://premier-yarns.pxf.io/c/405226... This method will work exactly the same on the Brother KX 350 using the Needle Beetle II. The Needle Beetle II will work on the Brother convertible machines also; just make sure to get the correct one for your machine. https://www.kriskrafter.com

I found my Fair Isle pattern in the Jones Knitting Pattern book which is an old book of eight stitch knitting machine patterns. If you don't have a copy, it is available for free download at: http://machineknittingetc.com/jones-8.... This book contains many different types of patterns; make sure to select a Fair Isle pattern for this method. The graphs for the first 400 patterns which are printed in full color are at the end of the book.
