Hey everyone, it’s Leaflit! In today’s video I’m reacting to Akkad Daily’s clip “African Witchcraft Child Sacrifice in England,” which claims that African immigrants are bringing ritual child sacrifice—and how initiatives like The Amber Project are trying to confront this cultural crisis.

I’m critical of mass immigration policies that allow unchecked entry of individuals with beliefs supporting harmful witchcraft practices. Ritual child abuse has no place in civil society.

I also support UK efforts like Project Violet and The Amber Project, which train professionals to spot and prevent abuse linked to spirit possession beliefs. But we must go further: immigration must involve cultural screening, and faith-based child supervision needs stricter oversight to protect vulnerable children.

A leaked Metropolitan Police report and BBC investigation found that young African boys were trafficked into the UK for ritual “muti” killings, sometimes branded “witches” by pastors. Some were murdered; others tortured.

The 2001 Thames torso murder (“Adam”) victim is believed to have been trafficked from West Africa for a muti ritual. His torso parts were expertly removed; investigators suspect ritualistic murder.

Since 2015, there have been 14,000 social-work investigations in England linked to witchcraft accusations; over 2,100 just in March 2024. Many involved children harmed due to suspicions of spiritual demonic possession.

The UK’s Amber Project and Project Violet train educators and social workers to respond to abuse linked to beliefs in spirit possession and witchcraft, acknowledging that faith-based ritual abuse is still underrecognized and dangerously growing in some communities.

Why This Reaction Matters
Immigration risks are real – Cultural vetting isn’t discriminatory—it’s essential when harmful religious beliefs conflict with British child welfare standards.

Witchcraft abuse must be recognized – Authorities and schools need better tools to detect ritual-based harm—especially from isolated unregulated religious settings.

Charity is not cover for harm – Some rogue house‑churches hide behind spiritual language to exploit and injure innocents.

We must protect children first – Civil society and immigration policy must ensure that no child suffers under imported harmful customs.
