Rugal_E by EvilSlayerX5 is quite the interesting little character. This particular fighter has 7 different AI levels ranging from 1 (obviously being the easiest) up to 7 (being the most difficult and very cheap as it was supposed to be, at least according to the ReadMe). Being the glutton for punishment that I am, I started at AI level 7 right off the bat since I like to learn about fighters at their peak levels first.

At level 7, one of the most obvious feature is that Rugal_E can gain super energy simply by walking. (WTF!?) With this, he can use his supers just about anytime he pleases. Not to mention if you make one single, solitary mistake, Rugal_E will combo-rape you with normals, specials, and supers for immense damage; usually about that time it's pratically game over. His AI also has the ability to recognize when you make an attack and counters accordingly most of the time making this fight very rough.

Playing with Gambit, I've noticed certain things about Rugal_E that I used to my advantage. First, as long as he doesn't attack, his AI usually doesn't activate right away. This gives me ample opportunites to get quick combos off on him without any reprecussions as long as I don't make the mistake of letting him off, otherwise it will become an uphill battle quickly. Second, on the subject of combos, Rugal seems to be prone to quick low attacks, and I usually end with a sweep if Rugal's not against the wall or a fierce Cajun Slash when he's against the wall. All in all, this simply means that Rugal_E is slightly weak to quick, repeated attacks. Also, on the rare chance that a Kinetic Card connects on Rugal and Gambit's super gauge is at least one, quickly follow up with a Royal Flush; it helps, but it's definitely not guaranteed.

I was lucky to get off the way that I did in this video. The many times I had to deal with this little slice of hell was nerve-racking, but for what it's worth, I'm happy with the result.
