Short for ‘Electric Train Service’, the ETS is an inter-city electric rail service that is operated by KTMB. By cutting down significantly on travel time over the previous coaches, the ETS is currently the fastest inter-state train service in Malaysia. Our ETS route map in Malaysia is currently operating from Gemas in Negeri Sembilan to Padang Besar up north in Perlis.ETS route is the most popular train route in Malaysia due to its connectivity to significant locations such as Kuala Lumpur, Perak and Penang. As this route is often very busy, we would recommend you book your seats as far in advance as possible to make sure you get a seat.
To book your tickets in advance you can visit any mainline railway station in Malaysia where you can book your tickets in advance a few months in advance (at most times of the year), but at other times, tickets may only be available a few weeks in advance. It all depends on when KTM are going to change the timetable and when they release the tickets for sale.
