Ford Vehicle Security Module (VSM) Troubleshooting

Here in this video I’ll pinpoint the cause of the problems my 2002 Ford F-250 was having. This applies to all years a VSM was used.

1. Check door sensors.
2. Remove VSM from mounting location behind radio.
3. Check voltages and ground for VSM.
4. If everything was working up to this point, get replacement.

I went with https://www.autoecmstore.com and they were great. Another guy I was talking to on some forums was solving the same issue as what I had and went with an eBay part. He spent more money and ended up not being able to use it. AND paid for the dealership to flash it… I spoke with my local diesel shop and they recommended Auto Ecms too. They refunded my core charge the day it was delivered to them.
