WATCH: Moment Donald Trump's would-be assassin arrested

Footage of former US president Donald Trump’s would-be assassin’s arrest has been released on Monday.

A 30-second video showed Ryan Wesley Routh leaving a black Nissan with law enforcement agents flanked behind it.

The sheriff’s office released the bodycam footage that showed Routh walking backwards with arms raised high after surrendering.

Routh was captured on Sunday shortly after he was spotted in the bushes near Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course in Florida.

At the spot where Trump’s would-be assassin was hiding a GoPro, two backpacks and an SKS-style rifle were found.

Routh was spotted after a rifle muzzle was seen by a Secret Service agent, leading the agent to fire at the would-be assassin.
