In today’s tutorial, I’m going to show you how to view all of the installed drivers on your Windows computer.

When encountering hardware-related issues, checking installed drivers is a crucial step in troubleshooting.

Knowing the versions of your drivers can help identify if a problem is related to outdated or incompatible drivers, allowing you to take corrective actions.

To get started with finding your installed drivers:
1. Go into the Windows start bar, and type in “Command Prompt”, and click on the Command Prompt application to open it up.
2. Now type in the following command “driverquery” as one word, and hit enter on your keyboard.
3. A list of all of the drivers installed on your computer will now be displayed. As you can see, we have columns for the driver’s module name, display name, driver type, and link date.
4. If you wish to export this list of drivers to a text file to easily view them at a later date, or to search for a specific driver, you can type in the following command “driverquery“ (greater than symbol) and then the folder path for where you would like the file to be saved to, and then the name of what you’d like to call the text file, followed by .txt. In my example I’m going to enter “C:\Users\Owner\OUTPUT.txt”
5. Now hit enter on your keyboard.
6. If we go to my desktop, you can see that the text file has been generated, and if we open up the text file, you can easily see the list of installed drivers, and if you want to search for a specific driver, we can click ctrl + F to search for a driver.

And it’s as easy as that, viewing all of your computer’s drivers is a simple task to perform.
