CBS6 StaffCLIFTON PARK -- The Clifton Park man convicted of kidnapping and sexually abusing three young boys is being sentenced today. 22-year-old Eric Loeser of Clifton Park pleaded guilty to Kidnapping, Criminal Sex Act and Sex Abuse earlier this year.According to the Saratoga County District Attorney's Office, in 2009 Loeser befriended a 9-year-old boy and began acting as the child's 'big brother.' Over the course of several months, he sexually abused the boy multiple times. Loeser also persuaded the child to report to police that his parents were abusing him so he could adopt him. Also in 2009, Loeser, who worked as an EMT, befriended a 13-year-old boy by claiming he had helped his injured friend at a medical call. After establishing a relationship with the boy, Loeser sexually abused him repeatedly over the course of several months. He also encouraged the child to become 'emancipated' from his parents so he could live with him. In 2011, Loeser met his third victim while on a medical call as an EMT. He quickly befriended the 15-year-old boy and and told him they should runaway together. In July, 2011 Loeser abducted the teen from a group home and sexually assaulted him several times over the course of 20 days. Loeser thwarted authorities who were actively looking for the teen by driving through parts of Pennsylvania, Vermont, and New York, before eventually dropping the teen off at an apartment complex at the Canadian border. District Attorney Murphy said, This predator's sexual attack on three boys is so vile, he should be permanently removed from our community. Mr. Loeser's acts are textbook facts for a civil confinement case that the Attorney General's Office may wish to examine in the future.Assistant District Attorney Michele Schettino said, This conviction was only possible because of the incredible strength and the courage that the child victims had to come forward and report the defendant's abuse to authorities.Loeser will be sentenced to 20 years in state prison, 20 years post-release supervision, and will have to register as a sex offender.
