Andile is absent-minded around the breakfast table. Tumi is feeling tired and frustrated over her families’ lack of food and money. Happy is upset about the breakup.

Happy calls Lindiwe and threatens to tell Zweli everything he knows if she doesn’t give him 10% share of the diamond.

Zolani tells Lindiwe that he saw Andile and Happy kissing. Lindiwe cannot believe what she’s hearing. Zolani sneaks into Andile’s room in search of the letter Happy wrote. Zolani finds the letter and gives it to Lindiwe.

Beauty tells Tumi she should withdraw Thato’s pension fund to help the family financially. After sharing the news with Malefu, Tumi collects all of Thato’s documents and goes to the mine to chat to Lindiwe about applying for her dad’s pension fund. Lindiwe tells Tumi that Thato cashed out his entire pension fund for her college fees. Tumi shares the bad news with her family.

Lindiwe and Zolani poison Happy’s drink. Tumi finds the letter Thato wrote the day he found the diamond and went to Lindiwe’s house to report his discovery.
Zolani sets Flora’s shack on fire, leaving a sleeping Happy to burn in it. Just as Flora is leaving the Dikana mansion to go home, Lindiwe distracts her.
