We headed offshore out of Miami, Florida, running into some rough water chasing mahi mahi and sailfish using live goggle eyes on light tackle setups. The ocean didn’t make it easy, but we stuck it out and hooked into some solid pelagics on circle hooks, then brought the fish home for an epic catch and cook.

We fished with a mix of mono and braid line, using light-action rods to really feel the fight. My offshore setup was dialed with Xtratuf boots and apparel for comfort and grip on deck, along with Penn Authority 4500–8500 reels paired with Penn Carnage Boat rods. Everything was filmed raw and real on the GoPro Hero13.
