All homes in Scotland MUST be fitted with an interconnected smoke and heat alarm system by February 2022.
This means that all the smoke alarms in your property are connected. If an alarm goes off in your house this means that you would hear it wherever you are in your home!
It is YOUR responsibility as a homeowner, landlord or letting agent to make sure all of the alarms in your properties are interlinked.
