Up-close walk around of a RCAF CT-155 Hawk fighter lead-in trainer

Join us for an up-close walk around of a Royal Canadian Air Force CT-155 Hawk advanced jet trainer which is used for Fighter Lead-In Training (FLIT). The aircraft was on display at the 2023 Abbotsford International Airshow, and has a special livery in comparison to the standard Air Force blue paint scheme which is typical on these jets.

The Hawk’s cockpit features a heads-up display, hands-on throttle and stick controls as well as integrated navigation and targeting systems. This Hawk is loaded with a AIM-9 Sidewinder missile, and a P5 Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) Pod.

RCAF Hawk aircraft are stationed at Canadian Forces Base Moose Jaw and Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake.
