Burgess Falls Kayak Trip (plus Fancher Falls)

Описание к видео Burgess Falls Kayak Trip (plus Fancher Falls)

Anyone can go to Burgess Falls State Park and hike in to see it from above but have you ever noticed the kayaks and boats down below? Here is what it is like to get to the falls from down there.
If you have a good eye you may notice that this video of Burgess Falls is from two different trips. The second part of the video Don and I paddle to Fancher Falls (80 feet high) after going to Burgess Falls (136 feet high). Making for over 12 miles of paddling for the day.
If you are wanting to paddle to Burgess Falls you need to find your way to the end of Cane Hollow Road (about 10 minutes for the State Park). The paddle is 4 miles round trip.
If you want to just see Fancher Falls it is closer to start at Cookville Marina and go to the end to Taylor Creek. It will be around 5 miles round trip.
Motor boats know kayakers are out there and are pretty careful but always still be careful.
Also there is no organization to the parking at Cane Hollow so is gets pretty crazy and good parking is limited so get there early enough. If you are using a trailer for your boat there is not a paved surface to back down and pull up. I saw some having trouble pulling their boat back out.
