NEW SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS POLICE STATION SOD TURNING

Today I was pleased after working with the Police to turn the first sod of dirt to commence construction of the new Southern Highlands Police Station. The last station was very old, leaking and not up to current standards. The police made an operational decision to move the location of the police station and requested funding for the building to make it start of the art. I am proud that we can deliver this multi million upgrade and as always look forward to working with our police in the future. I want to thank all the hard working Police men and women who are on the front line everyday. We know crime is trending down as a result of their hard work. I want to thank Assistant Police Commissioner Worboys, Acting Superintendent Koutsoufis and Inspector Klepczarek and everyone who came to make today special.
