Teisco/Kay Spectrum. A rather unusual solid bodied guitar made in Japan during the sixties or early seventies and made by the Teisco factory. This covers Kay guitars and many other names too.

The body is finished in sunburst and has a very attractive black scratch plate with flower and leaf etchings in gold around the edge. This type of etching was used on some Kay models in particular, but was almost always etched in white; so this is more unusual.

There are two chrome covered pickups with two, two-way switches, and with the volume and tone controls mounted on a metal scratch plate much like that of a jazz bass.Chrome tremolo.

The bolt on neck is straight with good frets but it does bend a bit. It is a well used guitar, but it looks good and plays well!
