MDPhD Bioengineering? Why I chose biomedical engineering for my PhD [2020]

In this video, I compare graduate programs in bioengineering vs biological sciences. As an MD/PhD student, I made the decision to pursue my graduate studies in bioengineering. One of the reasons I did this is because I realize I'm way more interested in applied research versus basic research focused on mechanisms. In other words, I'm way more interested in taking what we already know and applying it, instead of uncovering new knowledge.
