This simple yet incredibly delicious single layer carrot cake recipe is one of my favorite desserts. I hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients for the cake:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup of brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tbs vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup canola oil
- 3 cups peeled and grated carrots

Ingredients for the cream cheese frosting
- 1 stick of butter (softened)
- 8 oz block of cream cheese (softened)
- 2 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
