1990 Texaco/Havoline 200 - AJ Foyt's car suffers a break failure into T1 and slams into a dirt mound, breaking both of his legs. He would be transported to a hospital and would make a full recovery. It was easy to speculate that the great Foyt would question whether or not if he would continue, but Foyt would not call it quits and would run more races in 1991 and 1992, before calling it a career during the Month of May in 1993

Included in the video is thoughts from Foyt almost a year after the crash (1991)

This crash served as a wake-up call to some of the safety standards at Road America. Eventually, a wall would be added at the perimeter of T1 to prevent a crash like this from happening again
