Bang Krachao Island a Great Bangkok Cycling Destination

Bang Krachao Island is situated on the Chao Phraya River between Bangkok and Thonburi. It is often called the "Green Lung of Bangkok" because here the environment is much cleaner due to no high rises, traffic, or factories, etc.

The island is pretty quiet on a weekday, but even on a weekend we still found it pretty peaceful in comparison to Bangkok our hometown. Cycling around the island is considered safe, there are designated cycle lanes, though roads are very narrow.

Highly suggest using the elevated small pathways which run through orchids and backyards, and yes to expect to get lost on the island, but no worries, locals are friendly, and you'll end up probably not far from where you ventured off the grid any how.
