Here's an instrument I bought a couple months ago (as of the making of this video) and I want to share it with all of you. Kudos to Kala Brand Music Co. for creating such a beast of an instrument in such an (apparently) inoffensive package. But it can knock you off your chair for sure! (As with all of my videos, the sound hasn't been enhanced in any way. The Kala U-Bass is just plugged to my practice amp, then the signal goes directly to the PC sound card for recording and that's it)

The backing track is a well-known tune in Colombia, recorded by one of the most important Salsa bands from the country. "El Cocinero Mayor" by Fruko Y Sus Tesos with Álvaro José "Joe" Arroyo on lead vocals was a major hit in 1978. I just thought that its infectious groove is a cool background to show just one of the many things that the Kala U-Bass can do. Thanks for watching!
