Sun Visor Mirror, on vehicles often are electrically powered. If the housing for the visor mirror is cracked or broken, it will need to be replaced. You can easily fix this yourself if you do not want to pay for the repair at a dealer. However, you will need to obtain a replacement passenger mirror for your model of vehicle which you can get straight from Tesla.

When detailing the Tesla Model 3 one of our detailers didn’t realize that when moving the passenger seat all the way forward it was in alignment with the passenger mirror and it ended up cracking the visor mirror. Luckily Tesla keeps these parts on hand and you only need the VIN number of the vehicle. We went and grabbed one it came out to $125, here’s a video on how to install a Tesla Model 3 sun visor mirror.

No matter how your mirror got broken, if you need to replace it, you can do it at home with some basic tools.

▶️ Instruction for Replacing Tesla Model 3 Sun Visor Mirror:
• Put 20 size screw driver in screw bracket to unscrew
• Pop off little covers and move that over
• Slide to disconnect the clip for the lighting
• Remove the cover
• Place new one and tighten the screw
