I have gotten a lot of questions about skate sharpening for goalies. Obviously, how sharp our skates are is incredibly important, because it determines how well we move around the net.
In this video I explain what hollow is, what hollow I get my skates sharpened at, and what hollow I generally recommend goalies get their skates done at.
I describe why I like my skates sharpened at the hollow they are sharpened at.
Then I go through some variables to consider with my sharpening, and why those matter when deciding how you would like your skates sharpened.
