Cobra Triangle (NES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Nintendo's 1989 NES game, Cobra Triangle.

Well, it's not by Nintendo, but Nintendo published this Rare developed game, which should tell you something about its general quality. When Nintendo published third-party developer games on the NES, it was generally for a very good reason (and sure enough, Nintendo actually acquired Rare around the time of Donkey Kong Country's release). Cobra Triangle is a quality game, through and through, and deserved the coverage it got back in Nintendo Power (I think it was the issue with the first TMNT game on the cover, anyone else remember?).

The title screen screams 80s metal as much as any video game could hope to, and the bosses are equally as sweet. Cobra Triangle is such a fast moving and wicked difficult game, though - it's very much like Captain Skyhawk in that regard. I do apologize for my needing to continue during the game. I try to practice on all of my games until that's no longer necessary, but I really don't think I'm good enough to be able to get through the game without a game over. I never have been, and though I've improved a lot over the years, this game is harder than most.

I'm a huge fan of the level 23 boss. If only all boss battles could go like that!
