Harley Benton Fusion Pro set up switch change

Описание к видео Harley Benton Fusion Pro set up switch change

Two roasted maple necks back-to-back - and two out of two results that confirm my working hypothesis that roasted maple greatly reduces the fret unevenness that comes when regular maple necks 'bunch' up under longitudinal compression caused by string loading.
So this guitar neck was easy to precision level. The switch was faulty so I replaced it with a new 'like-for-like' unit. The neck was pretty much back-bowed to begin with so required some relief dialled into it. My least favourite part of this guitar is the Wilkinson bridge (sadly) combined with the slightly 'thoughtless' design of the guitar which doesn't allow both a low action AND plenty of pitch up tremolo range without shimming the neck. This is not the first time I've struggled to get down to the chosen target action on a HB; the other model was a SC ('Les Paul' style) and I had to grind away the underside of the bridge where it sits on the posts to reach my chosen action.
