Disaster recovery and business continuity at the edge: Red Robin International's success story

Описание к видео Disaster recovery and business continuity at the edge: Red Robin International's success story

Gourmet hamburger restaurant Red Robin’s mission is to “Make it fresh, fun and memorable. And above all, make 'em smile.” Nothing makes an IT team smile (other than their favorite hamburger) more than not having to worry about managing more than 3,500 devices across more than 500 locations. Like many IT organizations, Red Robin’s edge team needed effective and efficient Day 2 operations, business continuity, and disaster recovery (DR) to protect its brand and deliver a fresh, fun, and memorable customer experience. In this session, we’ll share how Red Robin worked with Red Hat and Stone Door Group to architect a centralized automation control plane with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for edge device management and recovery to achieve recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) across devices and locations. Key topics include:

The business challenges of the modern restaurant.
Edge DR challenges.
Ansible automation controller architecture for edge.
Ansible Playbooks for edge management and recovery.

Speakers:
Mike McDonough, Senior Cloud Architect, Stone Door Group
Aaron Ferguson, Solutions Architect, Stone Door Group
Jason Gross, Manager of Enterprise and Cloud Architecture, Red Robin International
