The ego and fear go hand in hand because the ego's main tool to spur you into action is fear. The ego is a survival mechanism for the physical and it's meant to be a good thing to keep you safe. However, as humanity as evolved, physical threats in a civilized world are less common than in the barbarous past. But it seems that the ego has not evolved with humanity. The ego seems to still be programmed for survival in a prehistoric environment.

The ego is fearful because the ego was not in on the game play as to why you decided to incarnate and does not know all the actors or their roles that come along in your incarnation. The ego didn't get the memo on the life plan. This causes the ego to fear anything that it doesn't understand, can't control or doesn't have the answers too. But we can heal the ego and fear when we center into the present moment and ask if that fear is valid or is the ego simply fear-mongering. The spiritual path is know the difference between the ego and fear or higher consciousness and love. Namaste🙏
