TieBreak Career / Mozkovic v Gauff 6-1-6-0 (WTA 1000) / Cincinnati

Hi all, I’m a casual gamer that mainly plays FM, but after finding this gem of a game I’ve decided to upload some TieBreak content for viewing.

This is on the latest patch released 02.09.24, where there have been some unadvertised gameplay changes in addition to some general improvements.

However Career Mode still not fixed and remain stuck at a 43 overall rating, However, a huge improvement is the level of Medium Difficulty, in which the rallies are much more competitive.

Additionally, players attributes appear to matter more, especially where the Top Spin has been nerfed and when on the defensive from the back of the court, I will hit the net everytime irrespective of how hard I hit the ball. Furthermore, it is easier to overpower your own shots too – making unforced errors more frequent at the human player end.

The game now plays a lot more realistically on Medium as a result – and I’m very much enjoying this difficulty at present.

My character in Career Mode is Gina Mozkovic, born and living in Serbia.

This proved to be a hard tournament for me. My game style wasn’t suited to the quite bouncy surface here, and it took a while to adapt.

And even when I did, my sister created character Mozkovic but with an Overall 90 proved a really tough opponent in the semi’s, where one of the sets only ended 6-4 in my favour.

The character was setup the identically as the one I’m playing with now, but being at a 43 overall vs 90 it made it my closest set so far at this level.

Thankful to finally have gotten through, I came up against Gauff in the final. She had some good moments in this match but was never consistent enough to really push us in any games.

She was able to win one game in the first set, but in the end was comprehensively beaten, and in part a major reason was being very strong on my serves and also some good scrambling on the defensive at times.

So a nice win on this more problematic hard court, with the US Open Grand Slam next up on my agenda, a chance to win my third grand slam of the year, the most I could achieve as I wasn’t ranked to compete in the Australian one start of the season.
